Drift is part of an ongoing body of work, composed of discarded plastic packaging, collected from daily life and a variety of jobs. This piece was begun in 1998, and consists of plastic packaging ranging from pool chemistry packaging, to material used for shipping hand woven carpets. Many of this work becomes site-specific, based on the spaces in which they are exhibited. New materials are added to the old, and the work continues to develop over time. This image of Drift shows it within the Threads exhibit at the Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Arts Center, in Dowell, MD, on display from March 18 - July 24.
